We are open!

Saturday, August 1st, 2020

Sewing classes ARE going ahead next week, starting from Monday 3rd August 2020.

Regarding the new COVID-19 restrictions, we called the COVID-19 hotline and had confirmation that yes, we are permitted to stay open.

We will follow the COVID-19 regulations as follows:

- Social distancing of 1.5mts

- All staff and students to wear a mask

- We will check your temperature upon arrival

- We ask you to either wash your hands with warm soapy water in the bathroom or use our hand sanitizer.

- The sewing machines are also positioned 1.5mts apart

- Please stay at home if you have any symptoms or have been tested for COVID-19 and are waiting for your results.

If you would like to make a mask in class, I have the pattern and instructions. You need to bring the following:

Fabric quantity per mask:

Bring your scraps or approx.

X3 squares of fabric, width 7 inches, length 18 inches (18cm x 46cm) for the large size.

Fabric type:

Closely woven e.g. patchwork fabrics, sheeting or equivalent.

TIP – bring one colour or co-ordinating fabrics

Elastic is available to purchase in class.

If you bring vilene, you can also copy the pattern in class.

If you don’t wish to make a mask, please bring your sewing project as usual.

If you have any questions just let us know, otherwise we look forward to seeing you in your sewing class next week.
