Here are the instructions on how to make the button bracelet. Thanks very much to Jean for sending through exactly how she made my lovely bracelet!

Step 1. Use hat elastic, cut to the desired length.
Step 2. Gather buttons with some sort of theme. For Jean she used treasure buttons that she had collected which meant something to her and also to the person (me!) whom the bracelet was made for!
Step 3. Thread the buttons onto the elastic and doubled them, put a small button on top of a larger button, which gives a richer effect and more substance.
Step 4. Make it to the desired length and tie it off at the end. It is a good idea to use your own wrist as a template to help with sizing.

Jean's other tips are:

* The sky is the limit as to which buttons you use.

* You could make a necklace the same way with very fine ribbon or thread.

Thanks Jean! I hope this helps you all make lovely bracelets and necklaces from your button collection!

Happy sewing,
Maree
